Firewall Project Manager
Responsibilities
Technical Project Manager of a critical project related to the network of an Investment Banking
Define the Data Center networks.
Configure VPN connections with third parties.
Define and configure the LAN Network.
Define and configure the Wireless Network. Know how to analyze the predictive analyses performed that will indicate where the Access Points are located.
Isolate communications – Move traffic that is crossing some FWs to a new segmented network.
Analyze Communications using different tools: Firewalls, SIEM, routing tables, etc.
Define the architecture to move equipment to a new zone in the network including the Hardware and the communications.
Coordinate and execute tests of the LAN and the Wireless Network.
Define the rack elevations and maintain them.
Give updates on a periodic basis to the management, identifying risks and defining actions plan to remediate them.
Required Skills
Experience operating networks using routing protocols such as BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, MPLS
Experience installing, configuring and maintaining Cisco Nexus and Catalyst 9000 model switches; competence in Layer 2 protocols including, R-PVST, PVST.
Experience with network management applications, related protocols and tools including SNMP, Netflow, SolarWinds, Cisco Prime, Cisco DNA-C, Cisco ISE
Experience with wireless networking technologies in the 802.11 protocol suite, wireless LAN controllers, access points.
Understanding and experience applying Information Security concepts and protocols to core network infrastructure and data transports, including: VPN, IPsec, GRE, ACL, 802.1x NAC and Tacacs+
Valid Cisco certifications including CCNP, CCDA, CCDP and CCIE are desired and preferred.
